| What is JANIRS? |

JANIRS is an educational project undertaken by the UNIVERSAL
EDUCATION ACADEMY (UEA), where pupils from India and overseas
will get to imbibe the culture of the East along with qualities
of creativity and independent thinking of the West.

| Who is behind the effort? |
|
JANIRS is the brainchild of "UNIVERSAL EDUCATION ACADEMY" a
charitable and registered Trust, known for its educational
and socio-welfare activities and for its support from well-known
educationists, professionals and entrepreneurs. The cost
of the project is Rs.50 crores. The academics, residential
facilities, intramural/extramural sports and games etc.,
are of international standards.
The School is conceived and will be managed by the educationists
and International Residential School facility providers who
were behind the creation of two successful and modern International
Residential Schools and other well-known educational edifices
in India.

The UEA aims at integrating values and ethics in bringing

| What is the curriculum followed in JANIRS? How
is it enriched? |
| JANIRS is affiliated to the council for Indian School
Certificate Examinations (CSICE) that administrate ICSE and
ISC public examinations and will enrich the learning experience
of students through courses and strategies advocated by the
International Baccalaureate (IB) at middle school and +2
level. |

| What are the efforts towards achieving academic
excellence? |

The following steps are taken in JANIRS
to achieve academic excellence :
- Teacher to student ratio is
1:10
- The maximum student strength in each class is restricted
to 25, in order to afford personal care and attention and
to provide for a high-tech learning environ in a Gurukul
setting
- Each classroom with an area measuring 700 sq.ft., is
to house a Pentium-4 computer with Multimedia, Internet,
Overhead Projector, and other educational aids
- State-of-the-art computer labs in which each student
will have an individual computer to operate,
- Compulsory
computer education and its application for day-to-day learning
by all students from Grade V onwards
- Arrangements for inter-school exchange
program with other schools overseas whenever possible
- Study of Indian Culture by
participation in well-organized programmes and festivals
- Special
Coaching/Remedial for students in need of additional input
- Arrangement
for counseling students and
- Teaching Yoga, Meditation and
Value Education towards spiritual growth
- Affiliated to the council for Indian School Certificate Examinations

| What is the Teacher to Student ratio? When will
it be commissioned? |

Teacher to Student ratio is 1:10 to afford
personal attention and growth.
The school was inaugurated in July 2004 and is now with academic
grades from 5th to 10th. Subsequently in the following years,
grades 11th and 12th will be added.

available for the residents at JANIRS :

| What is the eligibility criteria for admission
to JANIRS? |
|
Age criteria:
For admission to JANIRS, we normally expect the child to
have been born on or before the dates shown against the respective
classes in the following table.
Class V 1st June 1996
Class Vl 1st June 1995
Class Vll 1st June 1994
Class Vlll 1st June 1993
Class IX 1st June 1992
However the age criteria mentioned below may be relaxed
at the discretion of JANIRS, based on past academic achievement
and performance in our testing procedures, provided the student
has passed out from a recognized school.
Performance Criteria/Interview:
Student Entrance Test can be taken on any day other than
Sundays during the working hours in between 10am - 3pm, throughout
the year. Every effort will be made to ensure that the admission
tests are as free from stress and anxiety as possible. The
testing procedures will be adopted to suit the age of the
child and we welcome the opportunity to meet the parents
at this time.

| What is the process adopted for admitting a student
in JANIRS? |
|
Admission Process:
Parents seeking admission for their wards are to go through
the following Stages/Process:
- Collecting the brochure and the application form for
admission from Janirs International Residential School & Junior College
by paying Rs. 500/- or by downloading the 'Application
Format' from our Web site.
- Submitting the completed/filled up application form
and the annexure in all aspects along with the supporting
documents to Janirs International Residential School & Junior College and
paying a Non-Refundable Registration fee of Rs. 5000/-
either by cash/cheque/DD.
- Appearing for the admission test and personal interaction
on any working day other than Sundays between 10am and 3pm
throughout the year.
- Communication of the decision of Janirs International Residential School & Junior College to the parents regarding the grant of
admission.
- Submission of required documents and payment of the
fee by the parents.
- Confirmation of the admission by Janirs International Residential School & Junior College with the allotment of the roll number.
